Pillar of Sparks Earth/Air Room Effect

Duration: (level) hours Minimum Cost: 100 mana
Cooldown: 2.5 - 5 hours, varies by skill

Syntax: cast 'pillar of sparks'
cast 'lightning bolt' pillar

Pillar of sparks will summon a conductive pillar from the ground, a rod
formed of earthen magic and designed to channel lightning. Once summoned,
anyone with the capability to do so may cast the lightning bolt spell at it,
using 'pillar' as the target. Any pillar struck by lightning will
retransmit the charge, causing it to arc to everyone in the room not in the
caster's group. Furthermore, if there are any other pillars within a few
rooms, the bolt will jump to them, discharging in those rooms and all rooms
in between, again striking everyone. From there, the bolt will continue to
arc from pillar to pillar, potentially leaping a great distance provided
there are sufficient pillars to bridge the gap. Closed doors and walls of
stone will block this discharge, and no single room will be blast more than
once per casting. Pillars may only be constructed on solid ground, and will
deteriorate with time; this decay will be accelerated with each lightning
bolt they channel.
