Static Field                                   Major Air Defense

Duration: 5 hours                                   Minimum Cost: 75 mana
Range: Target PC or Mob

Syntax: cast 'static field' <target>

After countless hours of working with electrical magics, a wizard of air
learns to surround himself or another with a powerful static field. This
charged shield will dissipate a portion of any energy-based attacks against
one so shielded, offering a measure of resistance to that damage type.
Moreover, any who strike at one surrounded by this field will often find
themselves painfully jolted by lightning; each such jolt will drain a
portion of the original caster's mana, and will not take effect if he has
insufficient remaining.
