- Air templar no longer receives: spear, parry, controlled flight.
- Air templar now receives: focused precision, mist form, distract.
- Archery’s in-round quickshot has had its activation lag increased to 1.5 rounds.
- Lightning brand has a new implementation. Its duration is extended on metal weapons, and reduced on wooden ones.
- Fire templar now receives: immolate.
- Firebrand has a new implementation, and its duration is extended on evil-flagged weapons.
- Rune of embers has a new implementation, which expands its targeting ability.
- Baptism of fire and ignite enchantment have had their respective dispel lists expanded in light of earth sphere additions.
- Disruption is now an extension skill for immolate, which causes it to dispel earth spell buffs. See HELP DISRUPTION for details.
- Water templar no longer receives: parry, life shield, icy shield.
- Water templar now receives: iceshard, dodge, frozen shield, Rotheld’s bulwark.
- Frostbrand has a new implementation, and its duration is extended on bless-flagged weapons.
- Rune of life has a new implementation, which expands its targeting ability.
- Spirit templar no longer receives: spear, undying radiance, parry, rescue, remove hex, rite of Nathli, weavesense, vengeance, resonance.
- Spirit templar now receives: axe, flail, intercession, unshackle, spiritwrack, light of deliverance.
- Many spirit spells are now aurabound, preventing them from being cast without an appropriate amount of gold aura.
- Several spirit templar abilities have alternate echoing when used by a follower of Rystaia, Alajial, or Calaera.
- Bless has a new implementation, which should make the functionality of it and curse more appropriately mirror one another.
- Blade of light now produces a masterwork weapon, to give the spell enhanced utility.
- Consecrate weapon’s duration is now increased on glowing or blessed weapons, similar to its inverse, desecrate weapon.
- Soul flare has a new implementation, and is now a proper AoE blindness effect.
- Wrath of Kyana has a new implementation, allowing the spell to increase in power with additional castings. See HELP WRATH OF KYANA for more.
- Spiritwrack can now injure characters with neutral karma (no aura)\; only characters with gold aura are protected.
- Spiritwrack can now synergize with light-based weapons, allowing a partial conversion to that damage type.
- Invocation of Converu is now an extension skill for unshackle. See HELP INVOCATION OF CONVERU for details.
- Exorcism has a new implementation, and has adjusted functionality. See HELP EXORCISM for details.
- Void templar no longer receives: blindfighting, parry, dual wield, shadow strike, dim, desecrate weapon, pass door, leech rune, poison, siphon mana, individual demon binding spells.
- Void templar now receives: gloomward, dodge, distract, spectre, shadowcloak, serpent’s fang, flesh of my flesh, energy leech, bind demon, bound fury, Gamalean emissary.
- Void templar has received a number of new abilities. Please see their respective help entries for more information.
- Enervating ray now has templar-specific casting echoes while the caster is armed.
- Harm has a new implementation, making it function as an evil inverse to the spiritwrack spell, and can synergize with defilement of Logor.
- Demonbound items, when cleansed of their binding, no longer spawn demons to hunt the original caster.
- Expel demon no longer requires a circle of protection to function.
- Phase door has had its cost reduced significantly, and allows those in demonic possession to pass unharmed.
- Flay has a new implementation, is now weapon independent, and inflicts hitroll/damroll penalties instead of strength loss.
- Embrace of Isetaton no longer considers the victim’s dexterity score when determining if they save against the effect.
- Demonic possession now grants different bonuses depending on what demonbound items you are using at the time of casting.
- Summon can now conjure the target character even if they are currently in combat.
- All templars have had their levels of acquisition for wands and scrolls altered in light of the general scholar skill progression.
- Magic devices, such as wands, scrolls, and staves will no longer fail completely\; instead the resultant spell’s CL will scale.
