October 2020 Megaupdate (part 3)
- Druids now have a new totem available to them, and additionally, the crysmal totem has been reinstated.
- Shape timber has had some of its program flow rewritten to prevent some casting oddities.
- Rotsbane has a new implementation, which expands its targeting ability.
- Rotsbane now affects characters who are affected by the void templar spell, Gamalean emissary.
- Gash’s lag has been increased, and its damage has been reduced.
- Gladiator no longer receives: feint, lash, batter, legsweep, dual wield, parry, impale, cleave, choke, strip.
- Gladiator now receives: backstep, penetrating blow, executioner’s strike, skullringer, disarm, provoke, Kaslaug’s vigor, upstart’s panache, cyclone, shield block, shield bash, retreat.
- Grip is more successful at preventing disarm.
- Whirl has a new implementation. See HELP WHIRL.
- Cross is now weapon-independent, and deals bash damage (flying knee) instead of weapon damage.
- Taunt now applies to characters which are presently fighting but not in the user’s group, instead of just those fighting them.
- Taunt’s debuff effect no longer applies to the undead.
- Accelerated healing should once again properly multiply gain rate when multiple affects are stacked.
- Watcher no longer receives: distract.
- Watcher now receives: rescue.
- Distract is now a part of the barbarian, bandit, thief, and bard skill sets.
- Low level damage spells (iceshard, immolate, sandspray, lightning bolt, enervating ray, searing light) now restore some mana to casters when used.
- Active avatar and positive channel states prevent the above spells from restoring mana.
- The magic aptitude trait gives the benefit of the above mana recovery to any character who has it at the scholar rate.
- Many item-targeting spells, such as leech rune, can now target a person or items both carried and worn.
- Bit-based detection abilities (such as detect invis, detect hidden, infravision, etc) have been reworked to not conflict with one another upon removal.
- Updated numerous detection or viewing abilities to make use of the above changes.
- Profane flesh now reduces water-based healing by 90% instead of 75%.
- Ashes of Logor no longer allows a save on each healing attempt to see if it will block it.
- Desecrate weapon has a new implementation, which expands its targeting ability.
- Poison has had its targeting expanded, allowing it to affect worn items.
- Dispel magic has been expanded to address the new spells added by this patch.
- Arrow geas has a new implementation, and has been converted to a generic spell. See HELP ARROW GEAS for more information.
- Blade barrier has a new implementation, and has been converted to a generic spell. See HELP BLADE BARRIER for details.
- There has been a balance pass on house powers. If you are in a house, please review your current abilities!
- Items of type “light” will no longer display in an additional slot, only the slot they were assigned.
- Money items (such as dropped money), or items automatically converted to coins (such as Qaranstan’s copper stack) will now generate an identical monetary value when sacrificed to Ayaunj.
- Increased reuse delay on Ayaunj god touch by roughly 17%.
- Fixed a bug in the Serachel god touch which caused it to give inappropriate karma adjustments on critical success.
- The Alil god touch should now work as intended, and other minor issues with stat replacement should be fixed.
- Deathwalk no longer penalizes hp, mana, and move regeneration.
- The domain of Gamaloth has inherited deathwalk’s hp regeneration penalty, which applies to all living characters within it.
- The Lielqan god touch now protects against the above, in addition to its other features.
- Fixed some typos, minor bugs, code clean-up and optimization.
