			The srryn of Sythtys, in particular, clashed with the humans who attempted to settle in the river valley bordering the Dantaron River. Previously, ethron and srryn both made use of this territory; founding of the Republic after the War of Fire cemented humanity as a permanent foe. Disputes over this territory were common, resulting in four major conflicts, [[the Sythraki Wars]]. Four in total, each instance was an existential threat to the city-state of Earendam. The third was in fact so dire that it led to the abandonment of the Earendamian Senate under the reformer and first Patrician, Corvandil.

			The War of Night, also, saw action within the swamps of Sythtys. During the early war, the human tactician Lystaran focused the bulk of his efforts on a campaign against the srryn. It is speculated that this was what allowed the Sithean Thissa Sept to get a foothold within that region.
