[Old] [RP] Denlhor's interview with the Federation of Merchants

### In my continued hopes to encourage people to expand on what they can do within the game, I've double-checked with the IMMs that it would be okay to share this. In the past it's always felt discouraged to share House/God interviews, though largely that is to avoid spoilers for things that are currently on-going in the game. This interview involved no current players, and I hope does not spoil anything, only encourages people who may not have been through the process before. Houses are a lot of fun and I'd love to see more people participate!###

# eyes calmly assessing his surroundings. Though the silver of middle age has
# begun to show in his sandy blonde hair and his neatly-trimmed beard,
# Haerdoth still shows the vigor in his movements that made him famous both at
# the helm of a ship and at the bargaining table. Befitting of his station,
# Haerdoth's lean, athletic frame is dressed from head to toe in the finest of
# Harrudim silks, dyed dark shades of violet and azure blue. A beautiful
# silver scabbard hangs from his waste, its wide breadth clearly designed to
# hold a sword of remarkable size or shape. Most startlingly, the scabbard
# seems to be coated with a thin layer of what appears to be frost.

# Like each who have held the station of Chief Merchant, Haerdoth was trained
# in his youth as a templar of Water. With a keen aptitude both for wordplay
# and manipulating the waves, Haerdoth has spent much of his life traveling
# throughout Avendar in search of worthwhile business ventures and, often to
# the dismay of his peers, rare artifacts. However, while his charisma and
# business sense have earned him the respect of merchant houses and guilds
# across the lands, Haerdoth's recent decision to open the Federation of
# Merchants' dealings to those outside of the Corvalius family has been met
# with a mixture of surprise and skepticism. Unconcerned with these
# rumblings, Haerdoth continues to guide the Federations actions with his
# usual confidence and zeal.

# The gates open up into a lush, beautiful garden. Immaculately kept green
# grass spreads carpet-like across the grounds, and domed topiary lines each
# side of the carriageway. Rows of red rose bushes line the southern lawn,
# and to the north small beds of dahlias and marigolds dot the northern lawn.
# To the east are the manor's palisades, a small stone guardhouse at its side.

# The carriageway ends hear, running directly up to the entrance of
# Corvalius Manor. Built of white stone imported from the ancient valley near
# Castle Nathli, the manor stands three stories tall. Marble statues,
# depicting the early patriarchs of the Corvalius family, flank the ends of
# the carriageway. To the west, a short, barrel vaulted entryway leads to a
# pair of heavy doors of Nendorin oak, their handles made of etched bronze and
# their centers bearing the bronze crest of the Federation of Merchants. To
# the north, a short, paved lane leads to a small, square building, built from
# the same white stone as the manor proper.

# The Foyer of Corvalius Manor
# This tall, rectangular room marks the entrance to Corvalius Manor,
# headquarters of the Federation of Merchants. The floor is marked with
# gleaming white marble tiling, the edges of the room are lined with brass
# filigrees, and the center of the room is marked by a violet rug, imported
# from Ashta Harrud. The towering ceiling of this room reaches high, allowing
# the second story landing to look down into the foyer, and the room is
# illuminated by the flickering light of pair of heavy bronze chandlers.
# White marble stairs, draped with a crimson carpet, lead upwards into the
# Manor's second story. On the right of the western stairs, an archway leads
# directly to the inner manor, while a heavy oaken door to the north leads to
# the dining hall. To the south, white oak double doors lead the manor's
# parlor.

# Her olive-toned skin clashing with the brazen hue of household guards'
# armor, Faresta holds her post here in the foyer of Corvalius Manor. Her
# build is lean for her race and profession, and combined with the
# short-cropped style of her brown hair and the sharpness of her facial
# features, her frame has the illusion of thinness. In addition to the bronze
# breastplate and greaves common to the members of her company, Faresta's
# attire is also marked by an azure cloak, signaling her as an officer of the
# guard.

# Like many in her company, Faresta began her career as member of an organized
# guard. In her case, Faresta was trained as a templar of earth by Qilarn's
# Eqiril clan in order to help guard the border between the forest and the
# cursed Plains of Shargob. Yet, despite excelling in this role, Faresta was
# frustrated by the clan's continual failure to promote her to a higher
# position in the clan's highguard. Resigning from her station, Faresta found
# herself often employed as a bodyguard for merchants traveling between Var
# Bandor and Gaald, where her reputation for safeguarding her caravans from
