Uthlin Ocean
The Uthlin Ocean lies to the east of the main continent of Avendar. Calmer than the Lidraeu, it provides Earendam via the Dantaron with passage to the Jagkan coast, Harrud, and the various islands between.
Named by early Harrudim humans, it was named for the deity Uthlin, or Jolinn, as he was known in Harrud before the end of the War of Fire. Due to his somnolence in that period, attempting to draw his attention was hazardous; doing so could lead to mutations, odd growths, cancers, storms, whirlpools, and myriad other effects. Cults devoted to Uthlin nonetheless persisted, and sailors are still known to toss offerings overboard to avert Uthlin's disastrous attention.
