Skilled at inflicting pain in their foes, Void scholars may create shadowy barbs and embed them in their enemy's flesh (or whatever surface they have, if they are not fleshy). Any time the victim of this spell takes damage from any source, they will take additional negative-elemental damage; the amount is dependent on the caster's red aura and damroll. Darker red and more damroll is better, but benefits of increasing damroll will show diminishing returns.
As this spell serves entirely to cause pain in others, it cannot be cast by anyone who has accrued gold aura.
