This is the style guide we're using when editing the wiki. If you have a question that isn't covered here let us know and we'll figure out an answer (and add it).

Article titles, sections, and headings

Titles

Articles should be put under the title that the most people would recognize. Titles should be clear and concise. Capitalize the first word and proper nouns only. Articles should not begin with or capitalize articles (of, the). Avoid abbreviations. Redirects can and should be made freely.

Sections and headings

Sections should be consistent between articles of the same type (people, areas, etc). Section headings should concisely describe what the section contains. Headings should be capitalized. Avoid abbreviations.

Language

Avendar uses British English spellings (flavour, colour). I know, but we didn't do it and it's too late to change it. Avoid loanwords except where it would be onerous or confusing; clarity precedes aesthetic. Where possible, the English word for things should be used rather than a conlang term, unless there is a good reason to use the latter.
