Earth templars are able to raise the environment up in order to defend themselves against blows and allowing them to counterattack. While this skill is ineffective where there is no solid ground beneath the templar, this can be circumvented with a mantle of earth. Devotion to one's weapon makes this skill more effective. This will fail in a room where no magic at all can be cast.
This skill is most effective against daggers, axes, and staffs, and least effective against spears, whips, and polearms. Hitroll assists with penetrating this defense.
