This spell will burn petrification and most poisons, plagues, and other diseases out of the caster, as well as various maledictions of the water sphere, but it does so literally-- the resultant flame will do damage to the caster in the process of purging the afflictions. When used by a water mage under the martyr's fire, this will heal them instead.
