The clayshard training allows a mage to imbue clay shields about him with a touch of water magics. This causes an iceshard to automatically fly from the clay shield when it is shattered, striking the attacker. Clayshard takes effect only for clay shields protecting the scholar himself, not others he may shield with clay.
