At the peak of their skill, air scholars may form illusions of former opponents, calling them to fight at his side. While an illusion cannot match the reality of the original foe, the more the scholar uses a given illusion, the more closely it will mimic the real thing. It is possible to maintain more than one illusion at once, but each is fueled by the caster's mana, and will continually deplete it.

Illusionary mobiles retain none of the special programming of the original foe, or special attacks such as breath weapons, but are often able to do things such as bash or trip, if the original was capable. All illusions are able to rescue upon command. Illusions deal the same damage type as the original mobile.

An air scholar may seek to learn to form an illusion by toggling the "learn" command. While this toggle is active, they will learn any non-PC enemy they kill, to form an illusion of. They may know a maximum of ten illusions at a time-- if the caster learns an eleventh, one of the prior ten slots will be replaced at random. In order to view his current slots, the "learn who" command may be used. It possible to selectively unlearn illusions via the unlearn command.

Due to the sometimes unlikely nature of an air scholar's illusions, it is possible for those witnessing them to attempt to disbelieve their reality.
