In game: help air scholar

The last of the magics to be tapped by mortals of Avendar, air scholars saw their rise not long after the War of Night, a reaction to the long years of bloodshed and war. Seeking no rule, order, or code, merely meaning in the chaotic existence of the magics, it provided a freedom completely free of both the responsibilities of the light or the malice of darkness. Both the humans and the recently-emergent nefortu found appeal in the carefree nature of the magics, giving the humans a much-needed relief and the nefortu further avenues for their mischief. The ch'taren as well found much to admire in the freedom of the air, turning it to their own works, where the aelin set the magics to work both in art and to maintain their cities, imposing a meagre order upon the sphere.
Minor scholars of air learn many benedictions and illusions, by which they may bouy themselves or their companions on currents of air, or to create images of both sight and sound. The major scholars refine this further, also creating powerful spells of electricity. Greater air scholars specialize their powers into one of three greater paths:
- Path of the Endless Facade: dedicating themselves firmly to the study of illusion, those of the Endless Facade spin wheels within wheels, remaining always a step ahead.
- Path of the Flickering Skies: by drawing power from lightning and thunder, these magi embrace the destructive energy of nature itself, channeling its power through their very beings.
- Path of the Windrider: casting themselves to the whims of fate and wind, these scholars are as flighty as the magics they wield.
Being wholly a sphere of chaos, no one of truly lawful mindset may manipulate air magic in any capacity. While air scholars tend towards diversity of faith more than most spheres, many of Girikha's non-kankoran followers are air scholars, and nefortean practitioners of the art often find appeal in Tzajai's capricious faith.
Due to the nature of the sphere, it is often difficult to track down masters of it, especially instructors in the arts of the Endless Facade. A skilled air scholar may need to follow the winds to find himself a teacher in the highest arts.
Phantasm
- Syntax
phantasm
phantasm list
phantasm empowerments <phantasm_name_or_number>
phantasm forget <phantasm_name_or_number> confirm
This command may be used in one of several ways, to aid scholars of the endless facade in managing their phantasms.
When specified with no argument, it displays a list of syntax and possible arguments.
The LIST argument displays the known phantasms by number and name, as well as the mana drain associated with maintaining each one. Furthermore, it lists the empowerments each phantasm has received.
The EMPOWERMENTS argument lists the possible empowerments a phantasm may receive the next time the mage casts empower phantasm, along with the associated additional mana drain and cooldown for that empowerment. This command requires that a phantasm be specified, either by name or number.
The FORGET argument allows the caster to unlearn a phantasm completely, so as to free up a slot for another phantasm. The phantasm in question must be specified by either name or number, and the word 'confirm' added to the end, as this is irreversible.
Abilities by level

A scholar studies one major sphere and may take minor spheres. Spells that mix the major sphere with another element are listed under that minor sphere.
