Syntax: cast 'grave maw' <target>
cast 'grave maw' <target> lesser
cast 'grave maw' <target> greater
With this spell, a scholar of void and earth attempts to briefly bind a fanged idcizon into the ground itself, sending the demon after a target in the same room. The mage may choose to bind either a lesser or greater idcizon; the latter requires that a trigon of binding be present in the room, and carries with it all the usual risks of binding demons, should the inscription be imperfect. A lesser idcizon lacks the will to resist the mage, and thus may be bound safely. If neither 'lesser' nor 'greater' is specified, a lesser idcizon will be summoned if there is no trigon present, and a greater if there is.
Once ensorceled into the earth, the demon will raise great jaws of stone, clamping them over the hapless victim and chewing painfully on her. This will take place over several pulses, during which time the mage may act freely. Greater idcizons will chew for many more pulses than their lesser counterparts, resulting in more damage.
In addition to the damage, each bite from the rocky maw will stagger the victim, slightly lagging her. Moreover, if the ground is cursed, the vile magics of the place may seep into the victim, spreading the selfsame curse over her.
Should the victim leave the room before the demon is fully sated, it will return beyond the Veil, perhaps unsatisfied but not dangerous to the mage.
