The mage who adopts as patron the seraph-priestess Nelowesh is eventually graced with a portion of the archangel's gift with working energies. Such a one may employ the work essence spell and a number of vessels of quintessence to craft certain mystical objects, each with its own abilities. The following may be crafted:
Chalice of Truth: costs 8 quintessence
Chaplet of Fervor: costs 7 quintessence
Lens of Divination: costs 7 quintessence
Celestial Bulwark: costs 4 quintessence
Ethereal Skean: costs 4 quintessence
Rod of Transcendence: costs 4 quintessence
Any liquid drunk from a Chalice of Truth will pierce to the heart, showing one's true intentions. Should one with evil in his heart take such a draught, he will be harmed by it, clearly showing his nature. Unlike most spells which see only the recent, outer aspects of the soul, this will seek to his core, harming him if evil regardless of his karma. Those of goodly bent, on the other hand, will be healed should they drink from the Chalice.
Those who 'invoke' a Chaplet of Fervor will be filled with a holy zeal. Each invocation will consume one bead from the Chaplet, until it is completely gone.
The Lens of Divination may be used to find nearby targets. Any who 'divine' their target through the lens will see how far away that person is, and which direction to walk to get to him. The Lens will only function at limited range, which will decrease as it is used up and starts to cloud over. Eventually it will become useless.
The Celestial Bulwak is renowned for its defensive capability against negative magics. Though weak upon initial creation, it may be improved with the bind essence spell.
The Ethereal Skean is unusual for its ability to deal energy-based damage. A newly-created blade will be very poor, but may be improved with the bind essence spell.
The Rod of Transcendence may be used to channel magics more efficiently, potentially reducing the mana cost of spells. No newly-minted staff is particularly potent, but it may be improved with the bind essence spell.
