A devil is a sapient being of pure elemental fire, created by Bayyal upon Its release from the Grave of Storms. Their personalities vary widely, from nominally friendly to murderous, but all are concerned with the spread of destruction in its purest and most direct form. They are known to offer power to mortals who appeal to them and demand nothing in return for granting such destructive power; it is enough to a devil to know it will be used.

Devils are usually addressed with the nefortean honorific "Kyez" appended to a given name.

Kyez-Pancuma

Kyez-Pancuma the Devil-Dog is the being responsible for the razing of much of Ashta Harrud's farmlands during the War of Fire. Its essence was bound to the region now known as the Crimson Sands, rendering the area permanently barren.

Ur-Zelech

Ur-Zelech was named by the shuddeni, who attempted to apply demonic binding techniques to their great detriment; the ur- honorific, usually reserved for powerful demons, resulted from this error. Long-imprisoned by the titans, Ur-Zelech responds to appeals from adventurers for the power of a Flameheart.

Kyez-Ralin

Once the possessor of Yesa Aea'ria. Purged with the Chalice of Jolinn and imprisoned.
