This skill allows spirit scholars to see shades, beckon shades and gain a caster level bonus when casting spirit-sphere spells. In addition, spirit scholars with this skill are capable of perceiving demon-inhabited objects, demon-possesed people, and void scholars using the voidwalk spell.
